Welcome to our collection of kid friendly baking recipes! If you're looking for a baking recipe to make for children or with them, then you've come to the right place. The below recipes are all tried and tested and kid approved.
Everyone needs a little celebration in their lives, none more than children. With birthdays every year, holidays and everything in between, it can be hard to keep up. The below kid friendly baking recipes include celebration cakes, as well as every day cakes and treats for children to enjoy.
If there's one thing I've learnt about having children, it's that they need constant feeding, especially in the form of snacks between meals. So it's particularly useful to have a selection of quick and easy kid friendly baking recipes to hand.
Home baked treats are always nicer, but I'll be the first to admit that there isn't always time for home baking! But when you do find yourself with a free moment, it's nice to have options; the recipes below have all been given the stamp of approval from my children, so I hope you'll also find a suitable baking recipe for yours. ☺
If you're feeding a baby and avoiding refined sugar in order not to develop his sweet tooth, you'll find some sugar free recipes below. For babies under a year, cakes can be sweetened with ripened fruit or fruit juice.
All my cakes and sweets recipes use reduced sugar - apart from the obvious health reasons, I find you can actually taste the cake so much better when you're not hit in the face a sugar overload. Furthermore, too much sugar, particularly late in the day, can lead to difficult bedtimes if the excess energy is not expended (haven't we all been there?!), and nobody wants that!
Take a look at our collection of kid friendly baking recipes below. We have tried and loved so many recipes over the years and are continually discovering new favourites. The collection is ever growing, so check regularly for updates.
